Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a blue chip Principal Contractor on the Yorkshire Water Framework who are seeking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team on a permanent basis. The role would involve hybrid working, spreading time across the office in Leeds, site based work and home based working.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting to mitigate adverse financial impacts
• Ensure effective cost capture ensuring all costs are allocated appropriately
• Lead the identification of cost reduction opportunities and provide support to help stakeholders realise them
• Provide commercial support to stakeholders including ensuring all internal reporting needs are satisfied
• Ensure compliance with agreed commercial processes and procedures
• Create a culture of collaborative working with the client

What do we need from you?

• Thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract
• Thorough understanding of relevant construction and contract law
• Must have expert commercial acumen
• Managing teams across a matrix environment
• Proactive management of the allocated programme area and prompt escalate issues as necessary
• Experience in the Water or Utilities sector would be desireable
