Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a main contractor for a MEICA Site Manager to lead MEICA delivery on civils and water infrastructure projects. This is a site-facing role with responsibility for safe, on-time, high-quality delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation works (including commissioning and telemetry).
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage MEICA installation, testing and commissioning activities on site.

Produce and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, method statements and commissioning plans; brief site teams.

Coordinate mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineers/ subcontractors and act as site ambassador to clients and stakeholders.

Manage programme, two-week look-aheads, procurement schedules and site diaries to maximise commercial performance.

Review P&IDs and support development of commissioning strategies to integrate plant with existing processes.

Ensure quality control, completion of site acceptance testing, telemetry configuration and accurate O&M/commissioning records.

Chair site meetings, report progress to Project/Contracts Manager and identify/value engineering/commercial opportunities.

Maintain statutory, client and manufacturer standards to deliver works without safety or environmental incidents.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
-
Proven MEICA site management experience with responsibility for installation and commissioning on civils/water or similarly regulated projects.

Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation technical background (City & Guilds, HNC/Degree or equivalent practical experience).

Strong commissioning experience including SAT/FAT, telemetry and P&ID familiarity.

Solid commercial awareness: programme, cost reporting and change control.

CSCS card and IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS (or equivalent).

Excellent leadership, stakeholder and contractor-management skills.
Desirable:
-
Temporary Works Coordinator experience.

Electrical testing/inspection certifications (e.g. 2391/2394/2395), Thames Water Safety Passport or EUSR Water Hygiene.

Experience with NEC/JCT contracts and Primavera P6.
