Senior Mechanical Estimator

Here at Linear Recruitment we are working with a top tier client who are seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join the Energy and Gas side of their business. You will provide support to the work winning team in pursuit of new business opportunities, if you are a Mechanical Estimator with a background in Utilities and Infrastructure this position is the role for you. 

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the production, strategy and interfacing between various departmental functions to ensure that tender returns are accurately priced, commercially and technically detailed
• Ensuring strict timescales are maintained throughout the tendering process
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals together with fostering the development of future tender success and new Client opportunities
• Supporting the transition between the tender phase to project handover and delivery
   

What do we need from you? 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tendering and estimating, with a civils or utilities background
• Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts, ability to ‘take off’ from design drawings, interpret specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities
• Involvement in the tendering process and the preparation and presentation of detailed tender cost build ups
• Background in the Gas or Energy sector or CNI / ISS experience would be vastly advantageous
