You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and be responsible for all aspects of project planning, execution, and commercial control across key water infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Project Delivery Plan, including detailed short-term and long-term programmes, resource planning, and strategic milestones.

  • Oversee all elements of project delivery including design coordination, construction, health & safety, quality assurance, commercial oversight, and team leadership.

  • Chair pre-start meetings and progress reviews, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact successful delivery.

  • Ensure HSQE compliance across the project lifecycle, reporting accurately and in line with group policies.

  • Build and manage high-performing delivery teams, promoting a collaborative and positive working environment.

  • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure financial targets and risk management are fully integrated with operational delivery.

  • Support tendering and bid activity when required, contributing to ongoing framework success.

  • Take ownership of people management responsibilities including performance reviews, coaching, and professional development of direct reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience managing complex civil engineering projects, ideally in the water or utilities sector.

  • Demonstrated success managing site delivery, HSQE, commercial, and programme elements concurrently.

  • Strong commercial awareness and experience working across NEC or similar contract frameworks.

  • Previous experience delivering multiple contracts or high-value projects within regulated environments.

  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification is essential.

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Benefits

  • Long-term opportunity on a secured water framework with significant project pipeline.

  • Competitive salary and package aligned to experience.

  • Company vehicle or car allowance.

  • Pension scheme and life assurance.

  • Ongoing professional development and training support.
