- Description
Our client are looking for a Design Co-ordinator to assist with a long term project, taking it from initial designs through to construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical design coordination of schemes, in accordance with agreed programme, ensuring company targets are met and that the maximum revenue is generated by the quality, cost effectiveness and buildability of the design.
- Assisting Project Manager with reviewing of consultants detail design drawings and subcontractor designs.
- Ensuring fully complete, correct and coordinated packages issued to Commercial and Construction team
- Providing input into monthly programme updates
- Reviewing and coordinating design and technical related issues with the Commercial and Operations teams.
- Managing change control process for variations in relation to drawing revisions, construction programmes and costs
- Monitoring and obtaining all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for completion and handovers.
- Ensuring transmittal of documents is done in accordance with Document Management System via Document Control
- Ensuring current drawings are filed in order and design information exchange is as per the company protocol.
- Principle designers representative and technical contact during construction works.
- Managing, investigating and responding promptly with full close out to RFI's and TQ's from construction team
- Reviewing and advising on corrective measures for identified design issues
