Description

As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee site engineering duties across multiple projects, supervising trainees and Site Engineers within the region. This includes establishing survey controls, setting out works per contract drawings, ensuring safety and quality standards, and driving project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Engineering & Leadership:

    • Establish survey control and oversee critical setting-out activities.
    • Ensure accurate records of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
    • Supervise and mentor Site Engineers, assisting with their development.
    • Deputise for the Sub Agent/Site Agent when required.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Perform instrumental checks and compile quality audits.
    • Develop and brief ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) and manage Quality Management Plans.
  • Resource Management:

    • Ensure resource availability and address issues promptly.
    • Support material procurement, toolbox talks, and method statements.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
    • Attend design meetings and support PMs in project planning and execution.
  • Information & Handover:

    • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely handover of ‘as-built’ and QA information.

About You
Essential:

  • Degree/HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in civil engineering projects (highways, infrastructure, reinforced concrete).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, CSCS cardholder, and SMSTS-certified.
  • Confined space training.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
