- The Role: - A respected civil engineering contractor is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure schemes across the Cambridge and Peterborough region. The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of multiple projects, with a strong focus on highways, flood defence, and water infrastructure. - This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to play a key role in delivering essential public infrastructure. The successful Project Manager will oversee all phases of project execution, from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and commercial targets. - Key Responsibilities: - 
Lead the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects, acting as the primary Project Manager on site

Manage internal site teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery and workforce coordination 
- 
Develop and implement construction phase plans, RAMS, and project-specific management documentation 
- 
Monitor costs, track budgets, and support commercial functions to ensure financial targets are met 
- 
Lead project programming, identifying and mitigating risks proactively 
- 
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners throughout the project lifecycle 
- 
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff and engineers 
- 
Ensure all site activities align with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards 
 - Candidate Requirements: - 
Demonstrable experience working as a Project Manager in the civil engineering or infrastructure sector 
- 
Strong background in delivering highways, flood defence, or water-related projects 
- 
Proficient in contract management (preferably NEC) and project controls 
- 
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders 
- 
SMSTS and CSCS (essential) 
- 
Relevant qualifications such as HND, HNC or a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
