Description

We are working with a tier 1 main contractor who are seeking a Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Advisor to join their growing team on a high value project in the Gas sector in the Chester region. As the SHEQ Advisor you will oversee a multi-million pound project working closely with the Operations teams on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary
  • Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors
  • Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams
  • Liasing with the client on site and building a strong working relationship 
  • Deliver toolbox talks and training to colleagues / subcontractors

What do we need from you?

  • Understanding of health and safety issues as they relate to the property maintenance space, and ability to implement processes in line with industry standards
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors; we are looking for a team player who can add value to our operational teams
  • NEBOSH or equivalent
  • IOSH 
  • Experience in the Energy or Utilities (Gas, Water, Telecoms) sector would be advantageous 

The salary is indicative and based on experience.
