Senior Engineer

We are working with a top tier main contractor who are seeking a Senior Engineer to work in the Civil Engineerng sector on projects around the Kent region with a signifanct site in Dover on a full time basis. As the Senior Engineer you will be working on civil engineering projects for highways and structures works on civils frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision
• Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers
• Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
• Complete hazard / risk assessments and method statements.
• Manage the site service plans/ drawings. Issue permits accordingly.
• Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes.
• Monitor and control temporary works.  
• Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures

What do we need from you?

• Relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer.
• Experience in Setting Out.
• CITB - SSSTS or SMSTS.
• CSCS.
• First Aid at Work. 
• Full UK Driving License.

The salary is indicative and based on experience.
