A growing infrastructure business is looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join its expanding Water team, working on major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning, including:

• Civil and drainage design for water and wastewater projects

• Producing drawings, specifications, calculations, reports and estimates

• Working on drainage, clean water, separation and waste treatment schemes

• Developing solutions to technical design challenges

• Coordinating surveys, investigations and multidisciplinary design inputs

• Supporting design assurance, quality control and technical reviews

• Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians

• Working directly with clients and wider project stakeholders

• Supporting planning, programming and project delivery

What are we looking for?

You’ll ideally be a qualified Civil Engineer with experience in the UK water sector, with:

• Proven civil design experience within water/wastewater

• Knowledge of UK water industry and drainage design standards

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit

• Understanding of hydraulic design principles and manual calculations

• Experience with concrete slabs, retaining walls and hardstandings

• BIM experience would be advantageous

• Chartered status or ICE membership would be desirable
