Join a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure business and play a key role in the commercial success of major projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor with 40+ years of industry experience and a strong pipeline of long-term infrastructure work across water, transport, energy and the built environment.

The Role

You’ll take a lead role in managing the commercial performance of projects, working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project costs, forecasts, cash flow and monthly CVRs

  • Leading subcontract procurement, negotiation and account management

  • Managing applications for payment through to final account

  • Managing NEC and IChemE contracts

  • Identifying commercial opportunities and managing risk

  • Providing commercial advice to project and site teams

  • Building strong client and supply chain relationships

  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff

About You

You’ll have:

  • Previous construction/civil engineering experience

  • Strong commercial management and subcontract procurement experience

  • Experience with NEC and/or IChemE contracts

  • Knowledge of construction law

  • Experience with forecasting, cost analysis and CVRs

  • Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills

  • Excellent organisation and time management

  • RICS membership/working towards, a relevant HND/degree and CSCS are desirable.
