This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile programmes where security, resilience, and operational continuity are paramount. You'll be designing and developing solutions that protect nationally important assets, strategic estates, and regulated infrastructure across the UK.

Working within an award-winning technical environment that continues to invest in digital innovation, AI-enabled technologies, and the future of security integration, you'll play a key role in delivering solutions that go far beyond traditional security system design.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed design documentation including system layouts, network architecture, cable schedules, and technical specifications
  • Manage Technical Queries (TQs) and support formal change control processes
  • Review subcontractor designs, technical submissions, and specifications to ensure compliance and quality
  • Support bid, tender, and project delivery teams with technical expertise
  • Ensure designs meet client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory obligations
  • Drive innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement across project delivery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operational, and project teams throughout the design lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Experience designing integrated electronic security systems within infrastructure, utilities, defence, government, transportation, or other regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of Access Control, Intruder Detection, IP CCTV, Intercom, and integrated security platforms
  • Experience integrating systems with ARC, RVRC, or similar security management solutions
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation including URS, FDS, and associated design deliverables
  • Good understanding of CDM regulations and design responsibilities
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • ONC, HNC, BEng, or equivalent industry experience

Desirable

  • Experience working on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) projects
  • Water sector or regulated industry experience
  • AutoCAD and/or BIM experience
  • Familiarity with PAS 1192 environments
  • Experience using AMTECH or similar design software

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Flexible and agile working arrangements, including condensed working options
  • Opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure programmes
  • Structured career development and professional training support
  • Private medical options and wellbeing initiatives
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Employee share scheme
  • Generous holiday allowance with holiday purchase options
  • Cycle to Work scheme and retail discounts
  • Support for professional memberships and continued professional development

Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
