- Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a new build energy facility. This is a key role ensuring that all construction and engineering activities are carried out safely, in compliance with relevant legislation, and aligned with company and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert health and safety advice to site management, contractors, and workforce
- Monitor compliance with HSE legislation, company policies, and project-specific requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support the development and implementation of method statements and safe systems of work (RAMS)
- Lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
- Promote a strong safety culture and behavioural safety initiatives across the project
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports on HSE performance
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and client representatives as required
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); NEBOSH Construction Certificate desirable
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, energy, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CSCS Card
