Due to continued growth and a robust pipeline of residential developments, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple residential projects, ensuring cost control, accurate financial reporting, and effective procurement of subcontractors.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing commercial team, working closely with construction, technical, and sales departments to ensure seamless project delivery and strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle cost planning and control across multiple residential developments

  • Prepare tender packages, lead procurement, and oversee subcontractor negotiations

  • Provide regular and accurate project budget reports, forecasts, and cost variations

  • Liaise with site teams to monitor progress, manage risk, and resolve commercial issues

  • Identify and implement value engineering and cost-saving opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and internal governance

  • Maintain clear, up-to-date records using COINS software

About You
We are looking for a commercially astute and detail-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a proven background in residential or construction projects.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction or housebuilding sector

  • Proficiency in COINS software is essential

  • Experience with volume residential schemes (traditional build and/or timber frame)

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (RICS accreditation desirable)

  • Strong working knowledge of JCT and bespoke contract forms

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial reporting skills
