Description

We are seeking an experienced MEICA Sub Agent to lead the delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) elements on civil engineering projects in the water sector. This role involves managing site works, technical documentation, and supporting safe, high-quality project execution in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the MEICA aspects of civil and water infrastructure projects

  • Supervise and coordinate MEICA site installation teams

  • Prepare and manage RAMS, ITPs, project plans and QA records

  • Assist with MEICA design reviews, P&ID assessments and commissioning strategies

  • Support the development of installation plans and O&M documentation

  • Coordinate and witness site acceptance testing and telemetry commissioning

  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and manufacturer guidelines

  • Manage project programmes, 2-week lookaheads, and procurement schedules

  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders during installation and commissioning

  • Identify commercial opportunities and value engineering options

  • Produce accurate reporting for both internal and client use

  • Maintain detailed site records and cost data

Requirements

  • Strong background in MEICA and civil engineering site delivery

  • HNC/Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Formal Mechanical or Electrical qualifications (C&G/NVQ or equivalent)

  • C&G 2382-18 (18th Edition), 2365, AM2 or equivalent

  • Knowledge of CDM, risk management, and quality systems

  • Experience with NEC or JCT contracts and project planning

  • Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills

  • Full CSCS card, SMSTS or IOSH, and Temporary Works Coordinator certification

Desirable

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng MICE or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of WIMES standards and Primavera P6

  • 2391-52 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications

  • Experience with HV/LV systems and confined space (CP1/2)

  • EUSR Water Hygiene and Thames Water Safety Passport
