Overview
We are seeking a motivated MEICA Project Engineer to support the delivery of water industry projects, providing technical input, coordination, and assurance across MEICA works from planning through to completion. The MEICA Project Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all activities are delivered safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for a MEICA Project Engineer with proven experience in mechanical, electrical, ICA, or industrial installation environments to contribute to high-quality project delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across a range of water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and wider team in delivering MEICA Project Engineer activities across water projects
- Produce and review functional specifications, technical documentation, and tender packages
- Manage and coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and technical specialists
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and site teams to ensure effective communication
- Provide technical input across MEICA design, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Carry out technical assurance checks, audits, and quality reviews
- Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation strategies
- Support commercial activities including variations and site instructions
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, ICA, process, and civil disciplines
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress monitoring
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Drive safe working practices, quality, and efficient delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a MEICA Project Engineer or similar role
- Utilities experience, ideally within water or wastewater
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- SMSTS or NEBOSH certification
- Relevant CSCS card (Technical, Supervisory, or Manager level)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness and programme understanding
