Job Title: Assistant Site Manager 
Location: Morpeth
Start Date: June 2025
Competitive Day Rate | Freelance Contract

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a respected main contractor on a new-build care home scheme, due to start on site at the June. The project will deliver a high-specification, modern care facility, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and programme control.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience on a well-structured site with a supportive team, or to step up into a more autonomous role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations

  • Supervise trades and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently

  • Assist in maintaining site records, inductions, and daily briefings

  • Monitor site H&S compliance and report issues as required

  • Track progress against programme and assist with scheduling

  • Liaise with deliveries and coordinate site logistics

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the build

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar role

  • Background in residential, care, or healthcare construction preferred

  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams

  • Available to start June 2025
