Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a tier one civil engineering contractor with long-term secured work across major UK infrastructure projects. We're seeking an experienced Site Agent to deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in the water and utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities – Site Agent

  • Lead delivery of major civil engineering packages (initially on a bridge and sewer remediation scheme)

  • Manage site teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen

  • Oversee temporary works schemes from planning to execution

  • Ensure RAMS, ITPs, permits, consents, and stakeholder approvals are in place

  • Maintain construction programme, provide updates, and manage short-term lookaheads

  • Deliver works safely, on time, to spec and budget, ensuring zero defects and environmental incidents

  • Collaborate with commercial, planning, and project control teams

  • Attend and lead client meetings, fostering positive working relationships

  • Maintain and manage project cost plan

  • Identify and manage variations, risks, and opportunities for value engineering

What We’re Looking For – Site Agent

  • Strong background as a Site Agent in civil engineering (water/utilities)

  • HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely

  • CSCS card (essential)

  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator (preferred)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills

  • Experience working with NEC or JCT contracts
