We are currently recruiting on behalf of a tier one civil engineering contractor with long-term secured work across major UK infrastructure projects. We're seeking an experienced Site Agent to deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in the water and utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities – Site Agent

Lead delivery of major civil engineering packages (initially on a bridge and sewer remediation scheme)

Manage site teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen

Oversee temporary works schemes from planning to execution

Ensure RAMS, ITPs, permits, consents, and stakeholder approvals are in place
-
Maintain construction programme, provide updates, and manage short-term lookaheads
-
Deliver works safely, on time, to spec and budget, ensuring zero defects and environmental incidents

Collaborate with commercial, planning, and project control teams

Attend and lead client meetings, fostering positive working relationships

Maintain and manage project cost plan

Identify and manage variations, risks, and opportunities for value engineering
What We’re Looking For – Site Agent
-
Strong background as a Site Agent in civil engineering (water/utilities)
-
HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-
SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
-
CSCS card (essential)
-
Temporary Works Co-ordinator (preferred)
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills
-
Experience working with NEC or JCT contracts
