Description

Are you a proactive SHEQ professional with experience in the utilities or water sector? We are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to provide expert health, safety, environmental, and quality support across the Northumbrian Water Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety measures to enhance site practices
  • Provide expert SHEQ advice to site teams and subcontractors, ensuring best practices are followed
  • Drive compliance across projects, embedding a strong safety culture within operational teams
  • Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Support in the investigation of incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions
  • Assist in delivering SHEQ training and toolbox talks, ensuring teams remain informed and compliant

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
  • Previous experience in a SHEQ role within the utilities, water, or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices
  • Ability to build strong relationships and positively influence teams on-site
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

This is a site-based role where you will be instrumental in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
