We are working with a leading client in the North London area who are seeking a Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the Water/Rail sector. As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will provide advice and report on all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for producing and sending enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain.
• Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes. 
• Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts.
• Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with the client and subcontractors when required. 
• Provide advice and support to site teams and colleagues. 

What do we need from you?

• Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages. 
• Excellent communication skills, both oral & written.
• Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally.
• Previous experience in the construction industry, ideally in the Utilities/Rail sector.
• HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• CSCS card.

The salary is indicative and based on experience.
