A growing infrastructure business is looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join its expanding Water team, working on major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants genuine project ownership, technical variety and the chance to develop within a business delivering essential infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning, including:

Civil and drainage design for water and wastewater projects

Producing drawings, specifications, calculations, reports and estimates

Working on drainage, clean water, separation and waste treatment schemes
-
Developing solutions to technical design challenges
-
Coordinating surveys, investigations and multidisciplinary design inputs
-
Supporting design assurance, quality control and technical reviews
-
Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
-
Working directly with clients and wider project stakeholders
-
Supporting planning, programming and project delivery
What are we looking for?
You’ll ideally be a qualified Civil Engineer with experience in the UK water sector, with:

Proven civil design experience within water/wastewater

Knowledge of UK water industry and drainage design standards
-
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit
-
Understanding of hydraulic design principles and manual calculations
-
Experience with concrete slabs, retaining walls and hardstandings
-
BIM experience would be advantageous
-
Chartered status or ICE membership would be desirable
