Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking to play a key role in securing major civil engineering projects?

Our client is a well-established, privately owned infrastructure contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value water and civil engineering projects, leading bids from initial pricing through to contract award while helping shape winning tender strategies.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you'll take ownership of complex tenders, working closely with bid, planning and operational teams to produce competitive, commercially sound submissions.

You'll also mentor junior estimators, identify project risks and opportunities, present estimates at tender adjudications, and ensure a seamless handover to delivery teams following contract award.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering
  • Strong background in water infrastructure projects
  • Experience pricing projects up to £50m
  • Design & Build experience
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent numerical skills
  • Experience using estimating software such as Candy, Conquest or similar
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Desirable:

  • Experience within wastewater, rail or tunnelling projects
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Car allowance
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension & life assurance
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible benefits package
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Long-term job security with a strong pipeline of framework and infrastructure projects
  • Clear opportunities for progression within a successful and growing business

If you're looking to join an organisation that invests in its people and delivers some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you
