Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team and play a key role on a major carbon capture infrastructure project.

This is more than just another QS role. You'll be working on a nationally significant energy programme, taking senior commercial responsibility across large-scale infrastructure works and helping deliver a project at the forefront of the UK's transition to a lower-carbon future.

What You'll Be Doing

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the commercial success of the project, including:

  • Leading the commercial management of major infrastructure works.
  • Managing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier accounts.
  • Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, particularly Options A and C.
  • Managing variations, compensation events and commercial risks.
  • Producing CVRs, valuations and commercial reports.
  • Monitoring project costs and financial performance.
  • Managing subcontract applications, payments and final accounts.
  • Maintaining change registers and Defined Cost records.
  • Supporting client audits and commercial reviews.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
  • Driving successful commercial close-out and final account settlement.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, energy or major construction projects.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience working as a QS or Senior QS on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, particularly Options A and C.
  • Experience managing subcontract procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • The confidence to manage multiple stakeholders and influence project teams.
  • A proactive, commercially focused approach.
