The Opportunity

Our client is a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure specialist delivering major projects across the water, transport, energy and built environment sectors. With a strong pipeline of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, they are continuing to grow their commercial team and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on significant infrastructure schemes while developing your career within an established contractor with long-term framework and alliance work.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll provide commercial and cost management support across major water infrastructure projects, working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing commercial and cost control across allocated projects

• Producing CVRs, forecasts, cost reports and financial analysis

• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts

• Supporting the administration of NEC contracts

• Managing change, compensation events, risks and opportunities

• Working with delivery teams to identify efficiencies and maximise value

• Supporting commercial governance and client reporting

• Ensuring projects are delivered commercially, safely and in line with contractual requirements

About You

We’re keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience within civil engineering, utilities, water or wider infrastructure.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong commercial and cost management experience

• Experience working on construction or civil engineering projects

• Good understanding of NEC contracts

• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• A proactive and commercially focused approach

• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline is desirable
