Senior Project Manager

Our client are a dynamic and rapidly expanding infrastructure business delivering critical projects across the utility and social infrastructure sectors throughout the UK. Our specialist teams provide innovative and practical solutions to complex infrastructure challenges, supporting some of the UK’s largest network owners and operators.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a key role in delivering major Gas Transmission Asset Upgrade projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven project professional to join a fast-paced and collaborative organisation, working on strategic infrastructure projects with significant stakeholder engagement and long-term career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project activities are delivered in line with programme requirements, contractual obligations, and project timescales
  • Manage contract requirements, obligations, and associated project risks
  • Produce accurate progress reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Attend client meetings and stakeholder events to support effective communication and project delivery
  • Support and facilitate project meetings, ensuring accurate records and actions are maintained
  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams and Quantity Surveyors
  • Promote high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) performance
  • Carry out audits and ensure compliance with company procedures and CDM regulations
  • Travel regularly to project locations across the UK

About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years’ relevant experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or energy sectors
  • Strong project delivery and stakeholder management experience
  • Understanding of commercial management principles including scope, change control, and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities
  • Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience within regulated utility environments
  • Experience delivering gas infrastructure or transmission projects
  • Technical knowledge of gas process systems
