Senior Planner - Greater Manchester 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to support the delivery of civil engineering projects ranging from £200k to £10m+. You will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project programmes, driving efficiency, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project plans
• Support tender, pre-construction, and live project phases
• Identify risks, opportunities, and critical path impacts
• Monitor progress and update programmes and reports
• Advise delivery teams on planning changes and mitigation strategies
• Attend site visits and progress meetings
• Integrate subcontractor programmes
• Produce reports, lookaheads, and programme submissions
• Support 4D planning and impact analysis

Requirements

• Advanced Primavera P6 experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
• Experience leading collaborative planning processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable:

• Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) experience
• Site-based project experience
• Relevant degree (Civil Engineering/Construction)
