Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a new build energy facility. This is a key role ensuring that all construction and engineering activities are carried out safely, in compliance with relevant legislation, and aligned with company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert health and safety advice to site management, contractors, and workforce
  • Monitor compliance with HSE legislation, company policies, and project-specific requirements
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support the development and implementation of method statements and safe systems of work (RAMS)
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
  • Promote a strong safety culture and behavioural safety initiatives across the project
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports on HSE performance
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and client representatives as required

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); NEBOSH Construction Certificate desirable
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, energy, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • CSCS Card
