An excellent opportunity for a Sub Agent to join a tier one contractor and take responsibility for managing small-value civil engineering and construction sites or to support Site Agents and Project Managers on larger schemes. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and daily site operations

• Maintain commercial performance and cost control

• Produce, manage, and monitor project programmes and reporting

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, and quality standards

• Lead site inductions and ensure staff and visitors meet competency requirements

• Promote safe working practices, legal compliance, and environmental standards

• Produce accurate site diaries, QA records, and ‘as built’ information

• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and relevant third parties

• Maximise project value, manage cost plans, and drive cost efficiencies

Essential

• Significant civil engineering experience

• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM, design and cost management

• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• CSCS and SMSTS cards

• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification

• Full UK driving licence

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Working towards CEng, IEng, or AMICE

• Water sector experience

• Temporary Works Co-ordinator

• Leadership or supervisory experience

• Service avoidance or confined space training

• Appointed Person CPCS card
