Description

A great opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support and advise teams delivering works for a major water client. You’ll help ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and promote a positive health, safety, environmental and quality culture across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular risk assessments and recommend improvements

  • Provide specialist SHEQ advice to teams and subcontractors

  • Ensure contracts comply with legal and company SHEQ requirements

  • Coach, brief and motivate teams to embed safe and positive behaviours

  • Develop and deliver engaging training and briefings

  • Audit works, carry out root cause analysis, and support improvement plans

Essential

  • Recognised environmental qualification

  • Strong understanding of environmental management requirements

  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations (Client, Principal Designer & Contractor roles)

  • Good interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills at all levels

  • UK driving licence

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Certificate with relevant water/construction SHE experience

  • Membership of an environmental or engineering professional body (incorporated or chartered)

  • ISO 9001/14001/18001 formal auditor training
