- Description
Civils-oriented Project Manager required in the West Midlands. This role will entail being on the road, visiting multiple sites to help undertake surveys and working in the office.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE HAS BEEN DEEMED INSIDE IR35 AND ALSO, THIS CLIENT DOES NOT ALLOW PAYMENTS VIA CIS.
As Project Manager, you will deliver several on-going & concurrent projects, to the requisite quality, stated programme and expected commercial performance. The role also involves working closely with the Commercial Department.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing projects within Civil Engineering and Water sectors. You will also have:
- Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
- Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- CSCS manager’s card
- SMSTS
- Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
- Excellent communication, people and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor
- Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion
- Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Experience of a direct labour organisation
