We are working with a tier 1 contractor who are looking to employ a Senior Environmental Advisor on a contract basis to work in the Energy sector. As an Environmental Advisor, you will be leading the environmental agenda for the organization as a trusted advocate, by providing visible leadership, specialist advice, coaching and engagement to support the business.
Main duties will include, but not limited to:
- Evaluate, improved and develop environmental management systems processes and procedures
- Liaise with external parties and regulators, such as the Environmental Agency
- Develop meaningful strategies to continually promote a positive step change in all aspects of environmental management and behaviours
- Provide specialist advice on all business environmental aspects and impacts, e.g. waste, water management, permits and licences
- Supporting environmental internal and external audits
- Assisting in any significant environmental incident investigations that may occur
- The ability to demonstrate experience in design, build and improve environmental management systems in line with 14001
Candidates need to be willing to travel as the role will include visiting sites.
