Steel Fixer - Saxmundham

We are seeking a x4 person Steel Fixing gang to join a long term project in Saxmundham. All candidates need to hold a valid CSCS Card and one of the candidates is required to hold SSSTS as the gang supervisor. You will be responsible for installing and securing steel reinforcement bars and mesh to provide structural support.

Duties

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the placement of steel reinforcement.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to meet project requirements.
• Secure steel reinforcement using ties, clips, or welding techniques to ensure proper positioning within formwork.
• Perform heavy lifting of steel materials safely using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Conduct quality checks to verify correct placement and securement of reinforcement before concrete pouring.
