Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor to support a major highways infrastructure project in Warwickshire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in promoting a proactive safety culture, supporting operational teams, and ensuring high standards of compliance across site activities.

You will provide visible SHW leadership, help drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the safe delivery of a significant civil engineering scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive Safety, Health and Wellbeing support and guidance across project operations.
  • Act as the site SHW lead, advising operational teams and helping to maintain consistent standards.
  • Deliver inductions, daily engagement, site inspections and behavioural observations.
  • Lead incident investigations, carry out root cause analysis, and support the implementation of lessons learned.
  • Monitor SHW performance, maintain dashboards, and produce accurate reporting including HART submissions.
  • Support audits, assurance reviews and SHW communication campaigns across the project.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, engagement and collaborative working.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a SHW role within civil engineering, rail or highways infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting or managing SHW across multiple or complex sites.
  • Strong understanding of SHW requirements within major infrastructure environments.
  • Proven experience in incident investigation, audits and compliance delivery.
  • Working knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001.
  • Ability to analyse SHW data and maintain reporting dashboards.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate minimum.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent desirable.
  • Membership of IOSH or working toward Chartered status.
  • SEATS qualification and Mental Health First Aid desirable.
