Regional Planner – Northern Region
We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Planner to join a well-established and fast-growing civil engineering specialist operating across the Northern Region.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that project programmes remain accurate, consistent, and up to date through regular collaboration with site teams and regional management.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed monthly reviews of project programmes, ensuring all changes are captured and recorded appropriately

Maintain and update programmes in line with contractual requirements, progress, and as-built records

Review short-term (two-week look-ahead) programmes

Analyse site records, contractual notices, and communications relating to programme matters

Ensure programme submissions meet contractual compliance and are accepted where required

Review project change registers alongside delivered works and contract conditions

Monitor and assess Risk & Opportunities registers

Identify and support entitlement not previously captured by site teams

Assist in protecting programme entitlement and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims

Provide planning expertise, construction methodology input, and solutions to engineering challenges

Support regional leadership with process and system improvements

Contribute to pre-contract tender activities, including planning, methodology, and bid writing

Mentor and support the development of junior team members
About You
-
Proven experience working on live construction sites (essential)

Strong proficiency in planning software, particularly Microsoft Project (essential) and/or ASTA
-
Solid working knowledge of NEC contracts

Practical experience in civil engineering projects, ideally within environmental, water, or flood management sectors

Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with site teams and senior management

Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
