As the business looks to increase efficiency while outperforming project and customer expectations, projects must be planned in an innovative, robust, and accurate manner.

Civil engineering and infrastructure projects are varied in value, complexity, and duration, ranging from established frameworks to individual bespoke projects and unplanned emergency works. With project values typically ranging from £200k to £10m+, this role is essential in driving efficiencies within the scope of work, improving cost efficiency, and delivering a consistently high standard of planning.

  • Collaboratively develop and establish optimal construction methodologies, logic sequences, and work outputs by drafting programmes for review and preparing logistics diagrams

  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks within the programme

  • Monitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on potential changes and leading challenge and mitigation actions

  • Develop programmes to clearly demonstrate the impact of change in compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements

  • Attend site visits and progress meetings

  • Monitor progress and update short-term plans, progress reports, and construction programmes

  • Develop 4D animations of the project plan to support digital rehearsal of construction activities

  • Manage all project reporting requirements, including monthly programme submissions, weekly lookahead schedules, dashboards, and volumetric analysis

  • Manage and coordinate all impact demonstration and analysis programmes in line with NEC contract requirements

  • Review, interrogate, and integrate subcontractor programmes into the overall project programme
