Description

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civils Estimator to join our expanding team.
Our company is a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across sectors such as industrial, logistics, and residential infrastructure. We are now seeking a motivated individual to support our operations from our regional office.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Civils Estimator, you will be an integral part of the Estimating team, reporting to the Lead or Senior Estimator. You’ll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for civil engineering projects, contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in civil engineering estimation who enjoys working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and the chance to help shape the estimating function within a growing organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quantification, measurement, and take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing documents for tender submissions.
  • Assess project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare and issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries in coordination with the procurement team.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Conduct tender handover meetings with site and delivery teams.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the Civil Engineering or Construction sector.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications (training can be provided if required).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamworking abilities.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and accuracy.
