Our client is looking for an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee the planning, delivery, and management of mechanical and electrical services across a variety of construction projects. This is a key role that bridges the gap between design, project delivery, and ongoing building performance – ensuring that all M&E services are installed, commissioned, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services within building projects.

Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of services including HVAC, lighting, water, fire safety, security, and building management systems.

Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget.

Monitor progress on-site through regular inspections and reporting.

Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and sustainability requirements.

Provide technical guidance and resolve M&E-related issues across projects.

Support value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Contribute to handover documentation, O&M manuals, and facilities management planning.
About You
-
Proven experience as a Building Services Manager (or in a senior M&E coordination/management role) within the construction industry.

Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building services.

Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to lead subcontractors and work collaboratively with project teams.

Up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, and sustainability practices.

Relevant qualifications in building services, engineering, or a related field.
