Civils Package Manager – Piling / Groundworks

Linear Recruitment is looking for an experienced Civils Package Manager to lead the piling and associated groundwork packages on a new-build high-rise accommodation development. This is a challenging yet exciting project located on a tight city-centre footprint, requiring strong coordination, technical expertise, and site management skills.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee all civils activities during the piling and substructure phases, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. You’ll be managing specialist subcontractors, coordinating with design and temporary works teams, and ensuring seamless integration of piling operations within a constrained site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee piling operations and early civils works on a restricted footprint site.

• Lead coordination between design, temporary works, and site delivery teams.

• Monitor progress, quality, and safety performance of subcontractors.

• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans.

• Manage logistics, sequencing, and interface with neighbouring properties and utilities.

• Report on progress and resolve technical or programme issues as they arise.

• Liaise with the main contractor’s management team to ensure alignment with overall project milestones.

Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering piling or deep foundation packages on high-rise or complex urban projects.

• Background in civil engineering or construction management.

• Strong knowledge of temporary works, geotechnical processes, and site logistics.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Relevant CSCS / SMSTS / First Aid qualifications.

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (preferred).
