- Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join our client's team in Warrington. The Buyer will report directly to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for sourcing and procuring a variety of materials, securing the best possible value, and ensuring compliance with group purchasing agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating material schedules for multiple ongoing and upcoming developments simultaneously
- Estimating the bulk quantities of bricks, blocks, and tiles needed for each site and coordinating their timely scheduling with the manufacturer
- Maintaining and overseeing regional bulk material inventories to prevent shortfalls or over ordering.
- To work closely with Site and Contract Managers to ensure requisitions are processed efficiently and site issues are addressed promptly
Requirements:
- Previous Buyer experience within a construction company and can provide take offs from drawings
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Previous experience with COINS desirable
- Full UK driving licence
