Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Transmission Lines Engineer to join a well-established utility provider in Australia, delivering a decade of secured project work across a major transmission network. You'll play a key role in the technical development and engineering assurance of large-scale transmission lines projects, supporting both greenfield and brownfield schemes through design, estimation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering and technical support across major transmission line projects from concept to delivery.

Develop scopes and specifications for project estimation, constructability, operability, and safety.

Conduct detailed design using tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.

Contribute to cost-effective project business cases by supporting schedules, risk registers, and commercial proposals.

Lead technical reviews and drive improvements in design standards and processes.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and design/delivery partners.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a knowledge-sharing team culture.

Provide timely support on estimation and project development documentation.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.

Chartered or near-chartered status preferred (Engineers Australia or UK equivalent).

Eligible for registration as a Registered Professional Engineer in Australia.

Extensive experience in transmission line design, construction, or project delivery.

Strong working knowledge of Australian (or equivalent) electrical and structural standards.

Proficiency with line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.) and foundation design.

Strong understanding of project lifecycles and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to mentor others and communicate complex engineering concepts clearly.

UK-based candidates with relevant HV or transmission experience will be supported with full qualification transfer and onboarding.
