An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bid Manager within the Infrastructure Services division, responsible for leading strategic bids for some of the UK’s largest network operators and private sector clients.
This senior role plays a critical part in securing high-value contracts across the energy and water sectors. The successful candidate will bring both bid management expertise and a strong understanding of complex infrastructure delivery, influencing how the business competes and wins major projects.
The UK is undergoing a significant clean energy transition, and this role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s contribution to greener, lower-carbon solutions. The Senior Bid Manager will help secure opportunities that enable the delivery of engineering, construction, and maintenance services supporting homes, businesses, and national infrastructure.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the UK’s water systems. From upgrading clean water networks to improving wastewater infrastructure, the Senior Bid Manager will be involved in delivering bids that address growing population demands and environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Bid Manager will oversee and lead high-value, strategic bids from initiation to submission. Key responsibilities include:

Leading large, cross-functional bid teams on framework tenders and strategic opportunities

Defining bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions in partnership with business development and operational leads

Managing internal bid governance, including risk assessments and executive reviews

Overseeing content planning, technical narrative development, and commercial coordination

Mentoring junior bid team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Engaging with live project teams to develop case studies and capture innovation

Ensuring all submissions are client-aligned, high-quality, and fully compliant
Qualifications & Experience

Degree qualified in a relevant subject (e.g., English, marketing, engineering, construction) or equivalent professional experience

A proven track record of managing successful bids within the infrastructure or construction sectors

APMP or similar bid management accreditation is highly desirable

Strong stakeholder engagement, writing, and project management skills
