A well-established leader in the construction and infrastructure sector is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their Asset Intelligence division. This division specialises in delivering integrated physical and electronic security programmes across critical national infrastructure sectors, including Defence, Water, Energy, Transport, and Telecommunications.
The Planning Engineer will report to the Planning Manager and play a key role in planning, monitoring, and controlling project programme schedules from contract award through to completion. They will work closely with project delivery teams to develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules that align with cost and resource requirements.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing, monitoring, and controlling project programmes

Leading regular programme and progress meetings to ensure timelines are maintained

Performing Earned Value Analysis, especially Schedule Performance Index (SPI), to track project progress

Managing change control processes and updating milestone charts

Facilitating workshops to mitigate potential delays and programme slippage
The successful candidate will have strong experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. They should be highly organised, professional, and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders. A proactive, solution-focused mindset and commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential.
