- Description
We’re looking for a Project Engineer with MEICA experience to support the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and control systems on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role combines technical oversight with cross-team coordination to ensure safe, timely, and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, scoping, and delivering MEICA works within budget and schedule

Support tendering, procurement, and contractor management

Review and coordinate engineering drawings, specifications, and risk assessments

Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure QA/QC compliance
-
Maintain project records, produce reports, and support change management
-
Promote safe working practices and adherence to CDM regulations
-
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery

Quality documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycle

Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, or related field

Proven experience on MEICA or industrial projects, ideally in utilities
-
Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills

Familiar with Microsoft 365, health & safety standards, and CDM
-
Valid CSCS card, SMSTS/NEBOSH, and First Aid qualification
Desirable:

Knowledge of WIMES and NEC/MF1/IChemE contracts

Experience with water/wastewater projects
-
EUSR or Thames Water Passport
