Job: CDM Principal Designer

Location: London

Term: Permanent

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

Our client are an international and award-winning studio, looking to take on CDM principal designer on a permanent basis, in the London area. You will have an important role in influencing how the risks to health and safety should be managed and incorporated into the wider management of  projects.

The CDM Principal designer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or background in construction or a related field.
• Have experience of Microsoft office
• 5 or more years’ experience working in a similar position
• Be able to work on projects across concepts through to construction  
• Have the ability to people manage and showcase strong leadership skills
• Excellent understanding of CDM 2015, UK building regulations & Fire safety

The CDM Principal Designer role will involve:

• Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase. 
• Help and advise the client in bringing together pre-construction information
• Work with any other designers on the project to eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks to anyone affected by the work
• Coordinating the work of others in the project team to ensure that significant and foreseeable risks are managed throughout the design process.
