Description

Join an experienced and specialist construction contractor renowned for their strong pipeline of projects. With a growing reputation and an expanding client base, this company is at the forefront of developing multi-family high-rise properties as well as single-family living solutions. As the business continues to grow, they recognise the need for a dedicated role that focuses exclusively on Construction Quality.

Summary of the Role:

As the Construction QA Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and upholding the highest standards of quality across all projects. This position is essential for the continued success and reputation of the company, and you will be instrumental in implementing best practices throughout the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Implement and manage an ISO accredited quality management system within our high-rise/mixed-use and residential business units.
- Ensure compliance with building control, warranty providers, mortgage lenders, and building safety regulators.
- Maintain the "golden thread" of information throughout projects.
- Manage Quality KPIs and monitor trends to provide insights on common issues.
- Audit the implementation of the electronic QA system and provide monthly reports to operations and board directors.
- Collaborate with site teams to develop Project Quality Plans and Package Inspection and Test Plans.
- Promote a “right first-time” culture on-site to minimize delays, re-work, and re-visits.
- Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) by staying informed on current material and construction legislation.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological advances and provide recommendations or warnings as necessary.
- Deliver CPD sessions and Quality Toolbox talks to site teams.

Experience Required:

- Proven experience in high-rise/commercial construction and housebuilding (essential).
- Significant work experience in site management or a similar QA role within the construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of both low-rise traditional housing and high-rise projects.
- Familiarity with Aconex Field or similar electronic Quality Management software.
- Experience in overseeing quality within a Construction Mortgage Lending (CML) environment is preferred.

Qualifications & Training:

- Construction-related degree or diploma (preferred but not essential).
- Professional membership (MCIOB/MCABE/MICWCI) is preferred but not essential.
- Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid UK driving license.
