We are recruiting for a Senior P-Way Engineer.  Please note this role entails office-oriented work and setting out duties, so please only apply if you are happy with both aspects.

As Senior Track Engineer, you will be responsible for daily management of engineering works, liaising with the Lead Engineer and Construction Manager.

The ideal candidate MUST have the following experience/competencies:

• Renewals experience, Plain line and S&C (Essential)
• Trimble Total Station, setting out (Essential)
• 3D Dozing using Trimble TBC (Essential)
• Understands geometry (Essential)

Ideally, you will also have some of the following attributes (training can be provided to fill any gaps):

• Stressing Level 1 -2 (Preferred)
• Tamping Win ALC (Preferred)
• Strong IT skills e.g. Excel / Word
• Job ownership / Planning (Preferred)
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure work complies with safety and environmental requirements
• Read and review construction drawings with experience in raising technical queries.
• Manage ITP and quality records, Asbuilts and red lines.
• Material take offs.
• Knowledge of NWR standards
• Setting out / as built surveys

Candidates with slab track experience will be at an advantage. 

This role is for approximately 6 months, although there will be further work if you are flexible on location.

The rate is indicative and dependent on pay type.
