Description

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering a major critical infrastructure project. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile programme that will have a lasting impact, collaborating with industry-leading professionals in a challenging and rewarding environment.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of significant work packages, ensuring value is maximised while maintaining the highest standards of cost control, contract administration, and commercial governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of allocated work packages from inception through to final account.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with NEC (or relevant contract forms).
  • Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
  • Support procurement activities and subcontractor management.
  • Produce accurate commercial reports and provide strategic advice to project teams.
  • Work closely with operational teams to drive commercial performance and project success.
  • Mentor and support junior commercial team members where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, rail, energy, highways, nuclear, or other complex construction environments.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Experience managing high-value projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
