Linear Recruitment are currently working with a growing House Builder to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to springboard their career and join a passionate, committed commercial team based in the North East of England.  Projects centre around both speculative and new build social housing developments.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, your will manage all commercial and financial aspects of assigned projects and contracts. Ensuring completion is on time, within budget and to legal and quality assurance requirement and regulations.

The role will include:

• Estimate materials, time and labour costs, to ensure costs are controlled and projects completed on time and within budget.
• Subcontractor procurement and manage subcontractor performance.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve targets.
• Invoicing and payments
• Produce timely valuation reports.
• Final accounts

What experience, qualifications and skills are we looking for?

• Experience within the house building industry is essential.
• Understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Package, including Excel and Word and COINS will be advantageous.
