Join one of the UK’s leading Main contractors as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and build an iconic scheme in Sheffield 

Our client is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable construction company delivering high-quality residential developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of budgets, cost plans and valuations
• Support senior surveyors with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
• Monitor and manage project costs and variations
• Assist with monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasting
• Support the management of subcontractor payments and final accounts
• Contribute to risk management and value engineering initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and construction contracts

Requirements:

• Working towards or recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (HNC/HND also considered)
• 1+ years' experience in a similar role with a main contractor, house builder, contractor, or consultancy
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software
• Full UK driving licence
