Our client is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable and fast-growing house builder, delivering high-quality residential developments across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, cost plans and valuations
- Support senior surveyors with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
- Monitor and manage project costs and variations
- Assist with monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasting
- Support the management of subcontractor payments and final accounts
- Contribute to risk management and value engineering initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and construction contracts
Requirements:
- Working towards or recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (HNC/HND also considered)
- 1+ years' experience in a similar role with a house builder, contractor, or consultancy
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software
- Full UK driving licence
